Barrel Vault Rooflights are a versatile rooflight system, glazed in solid or multiwall polycarbonate, with a variety of size, shape, thermal performance, solar control and ventilation options to suit a multitude of requirements. The attention to detail is evident in the clean lines and minimalist styling of the framework. Daylight area is maximised through wide bay centres. Available in mill finish aluminium, or powder coated to any RAL colour, the system is suitable for use in a variety of low pitch roof applications. Our Barrel Vault Rooflights have hidden fixings, giving a clean appearance, and have a variety of height options to suit different glazing specifications and architectural requirements. The system spans up to 7m as standard, with larger spans also available.

Glazing Options

Polycarbonate – Virtually indestructable polycarbonate is stronger, usable in a wider temperature range. Polycarbonate is highly transparent to visible light, with better light transmission than many kinds of glass.

We offer the choice of single, double or triple skin polycarobonate.

Aerogel – This is a special translucent filling that is manufactured within a multiwall polycarbonate glazing. Aerogel is spread evenly within the polycarbonate to give perfect diffused light and excellent thermal properties.

Profiles

The standard profile is a rise 1/6 of the width although a higher rise and bespoke profiles can also be provided. The rise will be calculated on each quotation and will depend on width and length of the rooflight quoted.

Ventilation options

As standard all of our barrel rooflights are fixed. But we can offer the following ventilation options in most cases.

Permanent Trickle
Permanent ventilation – a spacer to allow a constant airflow.

Controllable Trickle
Controllable trickle ventilation fitted to the upstand or collar.

Rotating Vents
Fully insulated unit that enhances the thermal properties giving a greater vent area than the above options.

Hinged manual or electric spindle opening
Hinged opening sections provide the maximum ventilation area to allow rapid air movement. Supplied as a manual unit or electrial unit.

Extractor Fans
Extractor fans can be installed within the vertical end panels, depending on the available height.
